## General information
The URL https://schemas.bgr.de/boreholeml/3.0.1/ is the new home of BoreholeML 3.0.1 as of 1st July 2024. Since that date it replaces the funtional version of BoreholeML 3.0.1 that was initially published and accessible under http://www.infogeo.de/boreholeml/3.0/.

## Migration of BoreholeML 3.0.1
BoreholeML 3.0.1 was moved from the previous URL https://www.infogeo.de/boreholeml/3.0/ to the new URL https://schemas.bgr.de/boreholeml/3.0.1/ with the 1st July 2024. 

## Directory structure before and after moving
In the process of moving the directory structure of BoreholeML 3.0.1 was adopted to the new general structure in the domain *schemas.bgr.de*.

With the new URL only the following directories remain as they were before moving: 
1. https://schemas.bgr.de/boreholeml/3.0.1/ 
The new root directory of BoreholeML 3.0.1 still contains all XML schema definition files of BoreholeML 3.0.1.

2. https://schemas.bgr.de/boreholeml/3.0.1/examples/
The subdirectory for examples remains at the same relative place.

The following subdirectories of the previous URL https://www.infogeo.de/boreholeml/3.0/ moved to different places:
codelists
-> The directory for the catalogue of controlled vocabulary (codelists) used with BoreholeML 3.0.1 is now https://schemas.bgr.de/boreholeml/codelists/v1/.
   There is no subdirectory for codelists under the new root directory of BoreholeML 3.0.1 anymore.

doc 
-> The documentation files of BoreholeML 3.0.1 were moved to the new general directory for documentation of all functional versions of BoreholeML at https://schemas.bgr.de/boreholeml/doc/.
   There is no subdirectory for documentation under the new root directory of BoreholeML 3.0.1 anymore.

model 
-> The interactive model of BoreholeML 3.0.1 was moved to the new general directory for interactive models of all functional versions of BoreholeML.
   It is now accessible in the subdirectory https://schemas.bgr.de/boreholeml/model/3.0.1/.
   There is no subdirectory for the interactive model under the new root directory of BoreholeML 3.0.1 anymore.
   
zip
-> This former subdirectory was moved only with the non-functional archive of BoreholeML 3.0.1 to https://schemas.bgr.de/boreholeml/3.0/.   
   There is no subdirectory for ZIP-files under the new root directory of BoreholeML 3.0.1 anymore.

## Changes associated with moving
Files that had any kind of absolute reference to files or URLs of the domain *www.infogeo.de* were updated in the process of moving:
- All refences were changed to point to the correct new file locations and URLs in the domain *schemas.bgr.de*.
- No other changes were made, files without any references were merely copied. 

## Functionality after moving
As a result of the moving process the XML schema definition files in the new root directory https://schemas.bgr.de/boreholeml/3.0.1/ can be used for correct validation purposes concerning BoreholeML 3.0.1. 
Any applications related to BoreholeML 3.0.1 should refer to https://schemas.bgr.de/boreholeml/3.0.1/ from 1st of July 2024 on.
